We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for purposes you would not reasonably expect.
4. Our basis for processing
We process personal data with your consent (for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter), where it is necessary to provide a service you have requested or to perform a contract with you, where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running and improving our services, provided those interests do not override your rights.
5. Newsletter and marketing
We add you to our mailing list only if you actively choose to subscribe. Making a purchase, enrolling in a course or contacting us does not, by itself, add you to the list. Every newsletter includes a link that lets you unsubscribe at any time.
6. Sharing your information
We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run our services, such as website hosting, payment processing, email delivery and the artificial intelligence services that power certain tool features, and only to the extent they need it to provide their service. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we disclose information to public authorities only where the law requires us to do so.
7. Research and client data
When we carry out research, evaluation or data analysis for clients, we handle the data of research participants and client organisations under the terms agreed with the client, the consent given by participants, and any ethical approvals that apply. Such data is used only for the agreed purpose, is anonymised wherever possible, and is never used for marketing.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as the law requires, for example for financial records. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.
9. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any concern.
10. Your rights
Subject to the law, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you and give you a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer have a valid reason to keep;
- stop using your information for marketing, or withdraw a consent you have given.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
Responsible AI Statement
Some features of DataEdge Studio and our learning tools use artificial intelligence (AI) to help users draft, structure, review and improve their work. We use AI to support people, not to replace their judgement. These principles guide how we use it.
AI assists; people decide
Our tools are designed to guide users through a process, so that their own knowledge, data and decisions stay at the centre. Users remain responsible for reviewing, checking and approving everything they use, submit or publish.
We are open about where AI is used
We tell users when a feature uses AI. In our own consulting work, all analysis, conclusions and deliverables are reviewed and owned by our team.
Handling what you enter
When you use an AI-assisted feature, the text you submit is sent to our AI service provider to generate a response. We do not use your content to train our own models. We advise users not to enter sensitive personal data, such as health information, or confidential client material unless they are authorised to do so, and to anonymise data wherever possible.
Accuracy and limitations
AI can produce errors, outdated information or content that sounds confident but is wrong. Users should check facts, figures, references and citations against reliable sources before relying on them.
Fairness and context
We design our tools and courses with attention to gender, inclusion and the African context, and we encourage users to look critically at outputs for bias or for assumptions that do not fit their setting.
Continuity
Where possible, our tools keep a manual drafting route, so that users can continue working if an AI service is unavailable.

For questions about this notice, our use of AI, or your personal data, please contact DataEdge Insights Ghana at dataedgeinsights@gmail.com, or use the contact form on our home page.
